For more information on unconscious bias, I highly recommend the book, “Blind Spot: Hidden Biases of Good People” by Banaji and Greenwald 2. The good news is that traditional gender roles are changing, bias against women leaders is decreasing and everyone wants more women leaders. Let’s continue to support one another in our professional lives, and mentor junior women and students in the pipeline. Let’s look to our professional societies for ongoing support and opportunities.
