of Gastroenterology
China (CGC)
was held from 27
– 29 September
2018 at the Dalian
World Expo
Center, Dalian, Liaoning, China. This
congress was hosted by the Chinese
Society of Gastroenterology.
We created comprehensive and educational
scientific programs for CGC
2018, and brought together researchers
and physicians in the fields of
hepatology, gastroenterology, gastrointestinal
surgery and endoscopy. The
Congress was an amazing success and
attracted 5,174 participants as well as
26,809 physicians who watched the
Congress via internet. In total 2,957
abstracts were submitted to this Congress,
and over 200 scholars delivered
lectures in one main session and 13
parallel sessions.
We were very honored to have three
members of the Chinese Academy of
Engineering, the presidents of WGO,
WEO, APAGE, APDWF, AGA, BSG,
Editor-in-Chief of Gut, and Editorin
Chief of Hepatology with us!
During the Congress, we integrated
the latest research with clinical experience
to provide a practical perspective
to incorporate into daily practice. At
the completion of the congress the
attendees had a broader knowledge
of the subjects discussed and a greater
understanding of significant diagnostic
and therapeutic advances in the
management of digestive diseases.
We look forward to welcoming
you to the next Congress in Guiyang,
