WGO Guidelines AND Cascades News
A highlight of
the Gastro 2018
conference in
Bangkok was the
WGO session on
8 December 2018
which focused on
WGO’s global education programs.
This included presentations and discussion
on the WGO Training Center
program, WGO Train the Trainers,
the WGO Foundation and the WGO
Guidelines.
The WGO Guidelines portion of
the symposium was presented by Prof.
Greger Lindberg, Chair of the WGO
Global Guidelines Committee. Prof.
Lindberg’s presentation described the
use of the Guidelines Cascades model
and the application of WGO Guidelines
in regions of variable resources. The WGO Guidelines were also
incorporated throughout the Scientific
Program, thus highlighting their
relevance to a broad clinical audience.
The WGO Global Guidelines
presented at Gastro 2018 were: Celiac
Disease (Carolina Olano, Uruguay),
NAFLD and NASH (Khean-Lee
Goh, Malaysia), and IBS (David
Bjorkman, USA).
New Translations Published
WGO is please to announce the
publication of the updated Management
of Strongyloidiasis Guideline in
Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and
Spanish. The French version will be
available soon.
The Celiac Diease Guideline is
also published in French, Mandarin,
Portuguese, Russian and Spanish
translations.
David Bjorkman presents the WGO Guideline
on IBS
For the first time ever WGO is
offering a Persian translation of the
updated Celiac Disease Guideline!
Coming soon in 2019 will be
translations of the new Diet and the
Gut guideline. To see all of WGO’s
