The program will offer state-of-the-art education and science by an international faculty, hands-on endoscopy workshops, small group breakfast sessions with experts, and sessions offered with simultaneous Spanish interpretation. This event will provide GI clinicians from around the world a comprehensive clinical update on the latest in GI and hepatology, and build a sense of community as we all work to advance practice and patient care. Abstract submission is now open.  Are you interested in presenting research? Login and submit an abstract for your research to be considered as an oral or poster presentation at the World Congress of Gastroenterology at ACG2017 Annual Scientific Meeting (WCOG at ACG2017), 13-18 October, in Orlando, Florida, USA. More than 30 awards in a variety of areas will be given to outstanding abstracts. The deadline for submission of abstracts is Monday 5 June, 2017 at 11:59 pm Eastern Daylight Time.

Upcoming Train the Trainers Workshops

The World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO) in partnership with the WGO Rabat Training Center (WGO-RTC) and the support of the American College of Gastroenterology, Société Marocaine Des Maladies de L'Appareil Digestif and Société Nationale Française de Gastro-Entérologie, is pleased to announce the next Train the Trainers workshop, the first French TTT, is scheduled to take place in Marrakech, Morocco from 26-29 April 2017.For more information, click here!


WGO La Plata Training Center 10 year Anniversary

WGO congratulates the La Plata Training Center in Argentina on their 10th Anniversary as a WGO Training Center! Established in 1990, and inaugurated as a WGO Training Center on 21 March 2007. The La Plata TC in Argentina has been an institution of GI education in the region specializing in six-month to one-year Endoscopy and ERCP courses with most of their scholars hailing from Latin American. WDHD 2016 – ‘Diet and the Gut: Your Diet and Gut Health’

UPDATED Tools and Resources:  ‘Listen to Your Gut: Eat Right and Feel Good’ Campaign!

To celebrate World Digestive Health Day 2016, WGO launched the “Listen to Your Gut: Eat Right and Feel Good” campaign, supported by Danone. This campaign aims to raise awareness of the influence of diet on gut health and encourage the improvement of overall wellbeing. The most recent addition to the campaign is a Spotlight On: Gut and Brain Connection. Also offered on the website are additional educational materials and information you need to better manage your digestive health and overall wellbeing.

WDHD 2017 – ‘Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD): Navigating Evolving Therapies in an Evolving Disease’

This year’s campaign aims to increase an awareness of IBD, similarities and differences in the presentation and management of these symptoms between various regions and to develop practical and optimal strategies for the diagnosis and treatment of these in contexts that range from “the man in the street” all the way to the specialist’s office. Similar to last year, Member Societies will be able to fill out and submit the form online. Your assistance to ensure we have the most comprehensive and up-to-date information possible will be most appreciated. Membership invoices are based on the information received in the Update Forms and your society’s invoice is generated upon receiving your updated form.
