IDCA Structure & Committees

The IDCA is an Alliance that collaborates with individuals and organizations drawn from every area of the public and private sector able to bring resources and influence to bear on the prevention and reduction of digestive cancers worldwide including:

  • Medical professional organizations including representation from the fields of gastroenterology, oncology, nursing, surgery and others
  • Public advocacy organizations and patient survivor groups
  • Political parties or groupings
  • Insurers
  • The media
  • Industry

The Alliance comprises over 100 national gastroenterological associations whose representatives concern themselves with the development of cancer awareness programs in their respective regions. 

In addition committees have been formed to address all aspects of each specific cancer as we as review related topics such as epidemiology, statistics and primary prevention.
