Structure & Committees
The World Gastroenterology Organisation vests its general management in a Governing Council. Acting through the Governing Council, the World Gastroenterology Organisation is empowered to undertake the necessary activities to fulfil the goals and mission of the organisation.
A General Assembly, comprising representatives from all member societies and regional associations shall review and approve the work of the Governing Council and attend to other business including the venue of the next World Congress of Gastroenterology. There shall be only one vote for each national society.
The WGO officers and committees were renewed during the WGO General Assembly at GASTRO 2009 UEGW/WCOG in London in 2009.
