2006
In 2006, the Karachi Training Center offered six courses covering a variety of topics, including CME workshops on acid peptic disorders, hepatitis A-E and IBS, as well as two teleconferences and one hand-on endoscopy workshop.

2005
The Karachi Training Center hosted three training course in 2005, which addressed liver disease, irritable bowel syndrome and hepatitis B.
Workshop on Complications of Chronic Liver Disease: March 2005
The first workshop of the year 2005 addressed the complications of Chronic Liver Disease. This workshop held on Tuesday, 1st March 2005 at Aga Khan University Hospital and 42 gastroenterologists from Pakistan attended. The faculty discussed many of the important topics related to lives disease, including hepatic encephalopathy, ascites, and nutrition.
Workshop on Irritable Bowel Syndrome: May 2005
On May 3, 2005 a special one day symposium was held on Irritable Bowel Syndrome at the Aga Khan University in cooperation with the Karachi Training Center. The faculty lectured on the key topic areas, including treatment options, organic diseases mimicking IBS and new avenues in IBS management. The workshop concluded with an IBS case study, which challenged both the faculty and participants.
Workshop on Chronic Hepatitis B: June 2005
Chronic Hepatitis B was the subject of the third workshop of 2005. Led by Professor Wasim Jafri, this workshop was well attended by local and national participants and provided the audience with an extensive overview of hepatitis B. The WGO Guideline on Hepatitis B was provided to all participants, as was learning material about the formation of WGO Guidelines. The workshop addressed an essential medical topic in the region and was well received by all participants
