Overview
The WGO Training Center in Rabat officially opened its doors on 27 January 2003. The center was inaugurated by Morocco's Minister of Higher Education in the presence of Prof. M. Classen (WGO) and signatory of the Convention, Prof. G. Tytgat (WGO), Prof. P. Ferenci, (ASNEMGE) and numerous prominent figures from the world of hepatogastroenterology.
The Center is the result of a Convention agreed between Morocco's Minister of Higher Education and WGO. It is affiliated to Mohammed V-Souissi University and is located in the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacology in Rabat. It consists of a conference room, rooms intended for workshops and supervised training on the computerized simulator (allowing virtual learning of the most recent techniques in diagnostic and interventional endoscopy), a media center, and a library.
The Center will offer trainees semester-based postgraduate education in hepatogastroenterology, including theoretical courses, live demonstrations and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
