Scholarship in La Plata Training Center, Argentinia
The WGO La Plata Training Center is pleased to offer one scholarship for a two day practical training course, from 23 – 24 April, 2009. The scholarship includes course registration, meals and accommodation for two nights. Applicants should have experience in therapeutic endoscopy and are required to fund their own travel to the course site. The deadline for applications is 21 March 2009 and should be sent to the Training Center directors, Dr. Landoni and Dr. Chopita, at the address below.

AIGE Scholarships at WGO Gastroenterology Training Centers
The Asociación Interamericana de Gastroenterología (AIGE) is proud to announce the decision to continue offering gastroenterology training scholarships for the WGO Training Centers in Latin America. The WGO is confident that this initiative will prove to be invaluable to the region, the trainees and the training centers themselves.
Gastroenterologists will receive outstanding training In Gastroenterology and/or Digestive Endoscopy during a period of four months at one of the WGO Training Centers in America and US $800.00 for monthly expenses during four months.
Round trip air ticket is to be paid by the National Gastroenterology Society that endorsed the scholar or by the scholar himself.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Instructions:
The applicant should be a Gastroenterologist under the age of 45. The applicant must be willing to complete a four month training period onsite at the WGO Training Center.
To apply for the scholarship, applicants should submit the following documentation:
- Completed AIGE Scholarship request-form
- Letter of endorsement signed by his National Gastroenterology Society AIGE member
- Applicant’s current Curriculum-Vitae

Notice of Approval
The Scholarship Committee will review and approve applications prior to submission to the AIGE Governing Board for final approval. Applicants will be notified the results on June 30, 2010. Scholarship will begin according to the assigned WGO Training Center.
