In the context of the celebration of World Digestive Health Day, the Argentine Society of Gastroenterology (SAGE) will offer a realm of training and scientific opportunities to medical professionals, as well as an educational area to the community. The West Pomeranian Division of the Polish Society of Gastroenterology, in association with the Department of Gastroenterology - Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, the Polish Celiac Society and European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO), will be organizing an even on 13 May 2017 to celebrate World Digestive Health Day, titled "Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) - Novel Challenges and Opportunities." This event will include state of the art lectures delivered by key opinion leaders in gastroenterology and internal medicine. The topics will cover novel diagnostics, therapeutic and prognostic concepts in the management of patients with IBD. Special attention will be given to the role of gut microbiota as well as dietary and psychological strategies to manage IBD. The new spectrum of clinical entities associated with microscopic and gut barrier abnormalities will be discussed. Non-profit organizations of patients with IBD and Celiac disease will take part in a public debate on social problems related to diseased gut.
