WGO Membership

The current membership of WGO is 108 national societies and associations of gastroenterology – this represents over 50,000 individual gastroenterologists worldwide. Each country is permitted only one vote. Countries with more than one society a member in the WGO must share this single vote. Regional associations

For convenience national societies have been grouped into major geographical Regional Associations which meet on a regular basis and which have representation on the Governing Council of WGO. They are the Asian/Pacific, Inter-American, European, and African/Middle East associations.
