GASTRO 2009: Young Clinicians Program
The Young Clinicians Program represented an important educational aspect of Gastro 2009 UEGW/WCOG, London and included the concept of the highly successful Summer School Course of ASNEMGE. The Program, which focused on clinical case-based sessions and ‘hands-on’ skills training, commenced two days prior to the Main Gastro 2009 Meeting, and continued throughout the core meeting bringing together 90 Trainees from 47 countries (60 international and 30 from the United Kingdom). We were honored to have an enthusiastic Faculty with extensive experience, and were delighted that several prominent UK GI units have offered to host international YCP trainees either prior to or after the Gastro 2009 Main Meeting. To show their appreciation for partaking in this incredible program, the young clinicians donated 180 UK Pounds in support of the BBC Children in Need Fund.
A substantial part of the Young Clinicians Program was made possible with the generous support of several companies who have provided equipment and technical support. Our appreciation goes to.:
