It was a presentation of E. Chernova (Mos-cow) “A combination of collagenous colitis and Clostridium difficile-associ-ated diarrhea in an old patient” In the course of the symposiums and plenary sessions, the participants discussed guidelines for diagnosing and treating gastroesophageal reflux disease, chronic pancreatitis, and exo-crine pancreatic insufficiency. Treat-ment algorithms for patients with abdominal pain were also addressed. All abstracts were submitted and published in a special supplement to the Russian Journal of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Coloproctology. The scientific program, full of interesting and valuable presentations, lectures, and brilliant clinical dem-onstrations, enabled the participants to tap deeper into the latest develop-ments in the study of the etiology and pathogenesis of many gastrointestinal diseases.
