Nearly 200 domestic senior experts and 18 international experts were spe-cially invited. The Congress provided a unique opportunity to gain access to the latest and best scientific informa-tion and education in gastroenterology, hepatology, and endoscopy. CCDD 2015 The Chairmen of CCDD 2015 were Professors Yun-Sheng Yang, Zha-oshen Li, and Lai Wei. They gave the plenary speeches on the development and current challenges in digestive en-doscopy, and the focus of big data in the research of hepatology, respective-ly. In the opening ceremony, Professor Daiming Fan, as the honorary chair-man of the Congress, gave the speech of “Medicine and Science.” Professor John Allen, the former president of American Gastroenterological Asso-ciation, launched the lecture of “Sci-entific Drivers for Diplomacy.” The President of World Gastroenterology Organization (WGO), Professor James Toouli, introduced the struc-ture of WGO and its global strat-egy.
